Under the overall guidance of the OIC Director for Economic Department (ECCE) and Deputy Director General for West Africa (RDCW) and the immediate supervision of the Lead Economist (ECCE) and the Senior Country Economist (ECCE)/Task Manager in charge of Cabo Verde, the Consultant is responsible for providing the following support:
Analyse the social, economic, institutional, political and environmental situation of Cabo Verde, using internal and external information sources, and determine the implications for the programming and preparation of the Bank Group operations and the Country Strategy Paper.
Analyse the economic development acceleration factors and how best to position the Bank’s support.
Analyse the country’s comparative advantage and niche market that could contribute to the country’s uplift into upper middle-income country.
Analyse the implication of the country’s graduation to middle income country in the United Nations (UN) and others multilateral institutions systems.
